Privacy Policy

Effective 10 October 2026Applies to vergonengineering.com

This policy explains how Vergon Engineering LLP ("Vergon", "we", "us") handles personal data when you visit vergonengineering.com, send us an enquiry or request for quotation (RFQ), or contact us by email or phone. We follow the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and other applicable Indian law.

1. Who we are

Vergon Engineering LLP is an industrial engineering and technical solutions company based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. For the personal data described here, we are the Data Fiduciary: we decide why and how it is processed.

2. Personal data we collect

Data you give us

  • Enquiry and RFQ form: your name, company, email address, phone number, the category you select, and the requirement details you type in (for example part numbers, drawing references, quantities or inspection scope).
  • Email, phone and meetings: the contact details and information you choose to share when you correspond with us.

Please do not include sensitive personal information in the requirement details. We only need technical and commercial information about your requirement.

Data collected automatically

  • Server logs: our hosting provider records standard technical information when pages are requested, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the date and time. These logs are used to keep the site running and secure.
  • Fonts: the site loads typefaces from Google Fonts, so your browser sends your IP address and browser details to Google when the page loads.

We do not use analytics, advertising or social-media tracking tools on this website.

3. How we use your data

  • To reply to your enquiry and prepare technical and commercial proposals.
  • To identify suitable products, tooling, suppliers or inspection resources for your requirement.
  • To manage quotations, orders, deliveries, documentation and after-sales support if we work together.
  • To keep business records and meet tax, accounting and other legal obligations.
  • To protect the website and our business against fraud, spam and misuse.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making that has legal or similarly significant effects on you.

4. Legal basis

We process personal data from the enquiry form on the basis of the consent you give when you tick the consent box and submit the form. Where you contact us directly and provide data for a specific purpose, such as asking for a quotation, we process it for that purpose as a legitimate use permitted under the DPDP Act. We also process data where the law requires us to, for example to keep tax and accounting records.

You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to us (see section 13). Withdrawal does not affect processing that took place before it, and we may need to keep some records where the law requires.

5. Who we share it with

We share personal data only as needed for the purposes above, with:

RecipientWhy
Hostinger (website hosting)Hosts the website and keeps server logs.
FormSubmit (form delivery service)Delivers the enquiry form contents to our email inbox.
Google (Gmail and Google Fonts)Our email mailbox stores enquiries and correspondence; Google Fonts serves the website typefaces.
Suppliers, manufacturers and inspection partnersOnly the details needed to evaluate or fulfil your requirement, and only when your enquiry proceeds.
Professional advisers and authoritiesAuditors, legal advisers, or government and regulatory authorities where required by law.

These providers process data under their own terms and security measures. We share your company's technical requirement with suppliers in a way that protects your confidential information, and we can sign a non-disclosure agreement on request.

6. Transfers outside India

Some of our service providers, such as email and form-delivery services, may store or process data on servers outside India. Where this happens, we rely on providers with recognised security practices, and we follow any restrictions on cross-border transfers notified by the Government of India under the DPDP Act.

7. How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that do not lead to business: kept for up to 3 years after our last contact, then deleted.
  • Customer and supplier records: kept for as long as the business relationship continues and afterwards for the period required by tax, accounting and other laws.
  • Server logs: kept for the period set by our hosting provider.

8. Security

We use reasonable security safeguards to protect personal data, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections to the website, access controls on our email accounts, and limiting access to people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If a personal data breach occurs, we will inform affected people and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.

9. Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you have the right to:

  • Get a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we process it.
  • Ask us to correct, complete or update inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Ask us to erase your data when it is no longer needed, unless the law requires us to keep it.
  • Withdraw your consent at any time.
  • Have a grievance about our handling of your data addressed.
  • Nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity.

To use any of these rights, write to us using the details in section 13. We may ask you to confirm your identity first. We aim to respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

10. Cookies & tracking

This website does not set cookies, and it does not use analytics or advertising trackers. Your browser may store technical files (for example cached images and fonts) to load the site faster; these are not used to track you. If we add analytics or similar tools in future, we will update this policy first and ask for consent where required.

11. Children

This website is meant for businesses and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you think a child has sent us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
